Jason Momoa Denies Involvement In Batman vs. Superman

Standard

In the storm of rumors coming straight out of the rumor mills wazoo there was one that was well received by fans and was so vague it left possibilities from Doomsday to Mr. Mxyzptlk.

This big rumor was the involvement of Jason Momoa in WB’s “Batman vs. Superman” movie. Momoa is most known for his role as Khal Drogo on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Fans speculated that he would play one of Superman’s rogues Doomsday whilst other speculated Darkseid, Lobo, Ares, and Martian Manhunter. It turns out that he won’t be playing any of those characters in the movie and better yet any character in this movie.

In a recent interview with IGN about his upcoming Sundance Channel series, The Red Road, Momoa denied that he had any involvement in this film.

“It’s just rumors. I want to say something amazing, but I can’t comment on rumors. It’s flattering.”

Momoa went on to stress that: “I’m not involved in it.” So how did this rumor start in the first place? The original story stated only that Momoa was “in talks” for a role. Did our imaginative fan minds get ahead of us and when we heard “talks” we really heard confirmed role? According to Momoa:

“Maybe that’s how it came out. Maybe someone said, ‘You should be in this!’ and I said, ‘Yeah that would be great!’ And it just went too far.”

You never know stars, *Paul Rudd* directors, *Zack Snyder*, have been known to lie about their involvement and/or villains in movies. Jason Momoa could’ve simply been pulling a ruse and is already casted as Vandal Savage. The possibilities are endless with this sequel to Man of Steel hitting theaters July 17, 2015.
