Out of the four Marvel movies coming out in 2014, the one hitting theaters first is Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Serving not only as the bridge film betweenThe Avengers and next summer’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Captain America sequel also represents the first theatrical release by Marvel Studios to test out a spring release date.
The release date is approaching quickly and Marvel Studios decided to spend some big bucks and get a TV spot during The Superbowl to launch this second, magnificent trailer. The original trailer released for this movie set a precedent for every comic book movie trailer to pass and this trailer not only exceeds the original but it raises the bar to another level.
WATCH IT HERE: This is the actual TV spot that aired during The Superbowl:
Now lets actually get into my short review, The music in the trailer was great, I still haven’t seen a comic-book movie from Marvel to match the soundtracks from The Dark Knight and Man of Steel both were extremely memorable and lingered in my head after viewing their trailers. I have not seen the movie obviously so I could very well be wrong. The CGi was great most of the time but I found myself (after the 50th viewing) thinking some of it needed work, other than that the effects are top notch. To keep this short I will just say Black Widow, Falcon, Cap, Nick Fury, Bucky, and EVERYBODY else looked awesome I am officially a Captain America fanboy (weird coming from me eh?).
Make sure to catch Captain America: The Winter soldier in theaters everywhere on April 4, 2014!
